Fudge and Mabel are proud to present 1 day beginner’s and 2 day intermediate needle felting workshops in Dorset.
Come and learn a fun, therapeutic craft and use beautiful British Wool to make your very own needle felted character! Each workshop has a different topic and is held on various dates (mostly Fridays and Saturdays) - see list below or click on our WORKSHOP CALENDAR for full details.
From £50 per person
Includes a large supply pack with lots of wool, a felting mat, needles and finger guards. There is also a voucher included for a tea/ coffee and a delicious slice of cake from the Red House Museum cafe. Bottled water will be provided.
Workshops start from 10am and run through to 4:00pm, with a short break for lunch.

All workshops will cover (beginner and intermediate):
*preparation of the wool and traditional needle felting techniques
*materials, tools and safe use of felting needles.
*Wool/Fibre rolling techniques, basic shapes, plus hints and tips.
*’Stabbing' techniques and learning how to sculpt your wool into a 3-D creation.
* 2-D workshops - learn how to ‘paint’ with wool and add shading to create depth.
Intermediate workshops will teach extra skills such as using armature and mounting sculptures, tailored to each topic. To join an intermediate workshop, you must have completed a beginner’s needle felting workshop to understand the basics or have needle felted before.
Limited number of spaces available to keep the day personal.
Please note:Terms and conditions apply - please see terms page for full details. Children over the age of 10 are welcome (apart from on our adult education classes) but will need to be accompanied by an adult. Please keep in mind we will be using very sharp tools and it is more than likely that they will poke themselves with a needle.
